Man appears in court charged with multiple sexual assaults

A 66-year-old man has appeared in court charged with multiple sexual assaults against children.

Paul Dowbekin, from Nunney, appeared at Yeovil Magistrates' Court today (5 July) charged with 11 offences between 2002 and 2010 committed against five children, aged under 14, all of whom were pupils at a school in Somerset. All have been offered specialist support.

Dowbekin will next appear in Taunton Crown Court on August 6.
