It was a Happy Landing as this generous local electrical contractor helped animals in need

When Happy Landings Animal Rescue had a problem with their floodlights a few weeks ago, Waterlip Electrical Contracting were more than happy to lend a helping paw.

They explained: " Happy Landings contacted us for an emergency call out – the outside lights leading to the cat area were not working. We quickly realised that the lights were not only faulty but also very costly to run, and so took the decision to replace them with some new JCC LED Flood Lights. While on site, we also replaced a broken socket, faulty sensor light and flashing strip light in the offices – all of this was completely free of charge. "

Happy Landings rescues and rehomes a range of domestic animals including cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks and chickens. Operating from its site in Pylle, near Shepton Mallet, the centre also provides boarding kennels & cattery, but relies on fundraising and donations to continue their vital work for animals in need.

At W.E.C. we are big softies when it comes to animals, and it was clear that the lads on site had their eye on some of the residents – we're sure that Dan tried to smuggle home a beautiful cat called Summer, and Connor & Coby definitely had their eyes on a husky! Michelle in the office would certainly take payment in the form of cats, and on this occasion we settled for cuddles & kisses!

We would like to thank our neighbours at Centurion Business Park, The Pet Place, for donating toys, treats and food for Happy Landings.
