Key Shepton Mallet road to Pilton to shut for six hours this week

A key road linking Shepton Mallet to Pilton will be closed to all traffic next week, with drivers warned to plan ahead.
The B3136 Lamberts Hill will be shut for six hours on Wednesday 8 May, from 9.30am until 3.30pm, to allow Openreach to erect a new pole.
The closure will stretch from the junction with Whitstone Hill for a distance of around 247 metres. It means no through-traffic will be able to use the route during the works.
Lamberts Hill connects Shepton Mallet to the A361, which leads on to Pilton and Glastonbury, and is a popular cut-through for local drivers.
Drivers heading towards the A361 are being advised to divert via the A37 instead.
