The Mendip Inn, near Oakhill, has been saved after being bought out of administration.

Owner Matthew Lowe has confirmed to Shepton Mallet Nub News that the pub has been bought out of administration and is open and trading, saving more than 15 jobs in the process.

Mr Lowe's Country Pub Group had three other establishments as well as the Mendip Inn - the Temple Inn at Temple Cloud, the Castle Inn at Bradford-on-Avon and the Battleaxes in Wraxall near Bristol - and these are still in the hands of administrators.
