Future Shepton will be hosting their second showcase at the Art Bank in Shepton Mallet on Thursday 19th September.

Open to local groups across the town, Showcase Shepton seeks to connect a diverse range of clubs, groups, organisations and individuals encouraging them to collaborate, share expertise and to celebrate the wealth of talent and creativity in the town.

The last showcase saw more than 20 groups share information about their work with a full house of attendees.

Groups presenting at this event include: Shepton Mallet Carnival, YMCA – Shepton Mallet Youth Club, the new Markets & Events CIC, Fiona Campbell who will be sharing information on B-Wing in the prison for Somerset Art Weeks, Radio Shepton, The Food Forest Project and many others.

Slots in the first half of the evening will be five minutes and will give an opportunity to promote events, advertise volunteer opportunities, seek advice and build partnerships, and can be shared through talks, demonstration or performance.

In the second half of the evening there will be an open opportunity for networking for any local group and for all attendees to share leaflets and information.

Future Shepton aims to bring together a diverse range of people and organisations to achieve the very best outcomes for our town, as well as having a range of councillors represented on Shepton Mallet Town Council.

Future Shepton town councillors Sharon Hale, Abi McGuire, Matt Harrison and Tristan Faith will also be there to share information on future events and to gain your feedback.

Future Shepton members run a wide range of community events and programmes within the town. If you'd like to get involved or find out more, email [email protected].

The event takes place on 19th September from 7pm to 9.30pm at The Art Bank (former HSBC bank) - it's free to attend and all are welcome.
