As Bonfire Night is around the corner, Shepton Mallet is brimming with activities for the whole family to enjoy. If you're planning to celebrate this quintessentially British tradition, remember to adhere to the safety rules and regulations concerning fireworks.

We're truly thankful for the support of our sponsor for this article, The Bath and West Showground. With their backing, we can continue to bring you the best of what's happening in our community.

First on the agenda is the Shepton Mallet Rotary Club Fireworks taking place on Saturday, 4th November. Held at West Shepton Playing Fields on Old Wells Road, gates will open at 6:15 pm and the bonfire will be lit at 7 pm. Ticket prices are £5/6 for adults, £3/4 for children aged 5-15, and free for children under 4.

Family tickets are available for £15/18. The event will feature food stalls and a bar, but remember, no sparklers or fireworks can be brought in.

But that's not all! If you're into motorcycles or looking for unique automotive parts, the Bath and West Showground is hosting a VMCC Autojumble on Saturday, 4th November. Here's a special treat for fans: Henry Cole will be filming at the event for his show Junk & Disorderly. The show features Henry and his best mate Sam Lovegrove, who challenge themselves to make money out of other people's automotive junk and classic collectibles. The autojumble is a must-visit, with opening hours from 9:30 am to 4 pm.

Fancy something more creative? The Old Stores Studio in Evercreech is offering a stained glass wreath workshop on Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm. It promises to be a day full of colour and creativity.

If you're in the mood for some soulful tunes, head over to The Art Bank Cafe on the High Street. Their Hip City Classic Soul night runs from 7 pm to 11 pm on Saturday.

Finally, for a more spiritual experience, Messy Church at St Aldhelm's Church in Doulting will take place on Sunday from 4 pm to 5 pm. It's a fantastic opportunity for some family-friendly, faith-based fun.
