It is a bank holiday and a number of events are taking place all week in Shepton Mallet and the surrounding area.

A number of these events in the Shepton Mallet area are being added to our recently revamped What's On section.

Our top event pick for this week is the Charity Quiz Night, which will be taking place at the Shrubbery Hotel in Shepton Mallet.

This will be a fun quiz with cash and other prizes, that has been organised in conjunction with Ember Theatre Company to help raise funds for their next production of Playhouse Creatures and for the SARSAS rape and sexual abuse charity.

Teams can made up of between two and six people, with tickets priced at £2 per person, or £5 per person to include a half-time veggie or spicy beef chilli.

The event is taking place on Thursday (September 2) with a 7pm start, and for more information, check out the Ember Theatre Company's Facebook page here.

You can list your events - e.g. shows, films, sports fixtures, quiz nights, local markets, steak nights at the local pub, jazz choir rehearsals, or anything else - on our What's On page FREE of charge, just click this link and then click the black Nub It button.
