Local businesses in Shepton Mallet are invited to showcase their achievements and innovation as entries open for the 20th annual Somerset Business Awards.

The awards, organised by Somerset Chamber of Commerce, celebrate the very best of the county's businesses and provide an opportunity for local firms to gain valuable recognition.

The launch event, held at The Mount Somerset near Taunton, marked a milestone for the awards, which have honoured hundreds of businesses over the past two decades. Local accountancy firm Albert Goodman continues its long-standing sponsorship of the event, now in its fifteenth year as the main sponsor.

Mike Cahill, Partner at Albert Goodman, said: "The Somerset Business Awards offer a fantastic platform to showcase what makes your business truly exceptional. These awards celebrate the best that Somerset has to offer and entering provides a valuable opportunity to raise your profile, motivate your team, and drive your business forward."

David Crew, Managing Director of Somerset Chamber of Commerce, echoed the sentiment: "Taking part is a great way to raise your profile, engage your staff, and celebrate your achievements. We know past winners have gained new business as a direct result of the publicity they received as an award-winner."

With 14 categories covering all sectors and sizes of businesses, Shepton Mallet companies have until midday on November 22 to submit their entries via the Somerset Business Awards website. Whether you're a small business, start-up, or family-run firm, this is a chance to be recognised as one of Somerset's finest.
