Shepton Mallet's popular Sunday Market is back next weekend, offering a fantastic range of food, drink, and locally crafted goods from some of the region's top traders.

Taking place on Sunday, 29th September, from 10am to 3pm, the market is set to bring the town centre alive with its eclectic mix of produce and handmade items.

This growing market is fast becoming a highlight in Shepton Mallet's monthly calendar, as it aims to revive the town's long-standing market tradition. The market will feature local food favourites, artisan crafts, vintage finds, and family-friendly activities.

Among the standout traders this month are:

  • Westcombe Dairy – serving up their unpasteurised Somerset cheese, made with raw milk from their own herd.
  • Mahalia's Kitchen – bringing delicious Guyanese Caribbean flavours straight to your plate.
  • Brickell's Ice Cream – all-natural ice cream, handmade from scratch using milk from Westcombe Dairy.
  • White Lake Cheese – award-winning handmade cheeses using goats', cows', and ewes' milk.
  • Black Bee Honey – Shepton Mallet's very own honey producers, offering 100% British honey.
  • Muti – showcasing bold, fermented foods like kimchi and sauerkraut, all plant-based and packed with flavour.

For those with a love of unique handmade goods, local artisans will be out in force. Expect to see stunning creations from:

  • JP Woodworking – beautiful, handmade chopping boards and wooden items made right here in Shepton Mallet.
  • Emma Chapman Pottery – bespoke, hand-thrown pottery, perfect for everyday use.
  • Thrifty May's – quirky and colourful upcycled kids' clothing made from repurposed fabrics.

As well as an array of food and drink stalls, visitors can enjoy live music, kids' workshops, and a friendly atmosphere. Whether you're looking to shop for something special, support local businesses, or just enjoy a family day out, the Shepton Mallet Sunday Market has something for everyone.

The market will be held on the last Sunday of each month, with the next event taking place on Sunday, 24th November.

Don't miss the chance to enjoy the best of local produce and craftsmanship right in the heart of Shepton Mallet.
