New drone footage has captured the eerie and crumbling remains of the former Greencore factory on the B3081 Prestleigh Road in Evercreech.

Once a hub of local employment, the site has been left derelict since its closure in October 2018, which resulted in the loss of around 400 jobs.

The video, shared by YouTuber JustMadnessBoy, provides a stark view of the abandoned factory. The footage reveals extensive graffiti on the walls, broken windows, and parts of the building falling into disrepair. The site, which was once a key employer in the area, has become an urban wasteland in the five years since its closure.

The Greencore factory was shut down as part of a restructuring process, and the loss of jobs dealt a heavy blow to the local community. While plans for the site's redevelopment have been discussed over the years, it remains in a state of neglect.

The video has drawn attention on social media, with viewers commenting on the site's decline. Some expressed sadness at seeing a place that once thrived now lying in ruins, while others questioned the future of the site and its impact on the surrounding area.

Residents of Evercreech have long hoped for a resolution, with calls for the land to be repurposed to benefit the community. However, no concrete plans have yet materialised. The footage has reignited debate over what should be done with the abandoned factory and whether redevelopment can bring new opportunities to the village.

The video by JustMadnessBoy highlights the stark reality of industrial decline and its lasting impact on communities like Evercreech. You can watch the full video on YouTube.
