Dobbies Garden Centre in Shepton Mallet is set to launch an exciting array of nature-inspired activities to keep children entertained throughout the summer.

The sessions are free for families to attend, making them an excellent option for summer fun.

The first session of Dobbies' Little Seedlings Club kicks off on Sunday, 7 July, focusing on the fascinating world of garden minibeasts.

This Garden Creatures workshop will delve into the lives of snails, slugs, spiders, and beetles, teaching children about their unique microhabitats and defence mechanisms.

Participants will also learn about pollinators and discover how to attract them to their gardens with pollinator-friendly plants like lavender. As a special treat, kids will get to plant their own lavender to take home. The workshop will also feature a segment on butterflies, where children can create their own butterfly-inspired crafts.

Dobbies' Little Seedlings Club aims to educate and inspire the next generation of gardeners. It is designed for children aged 4-10, bringing them together in a fun group setting to learn something new. The Shepton Mallet store will be hosting the club from Monday, 12 August to Friday, 16 August.

Parents interested in enrolling their children can easily apply by visiting www.dobbies.com and filling out a short form. Applications close on Sunday, 23 June, so don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to nurture your child's love for nature and gardening.
