Local swim school, Puddle Ducks, is opening its doors to the public with a free day offering 30-minute 'taster' lessons for primary school children aged four to ten.

The event will take place on Saturday, 7th October from 9am at their new pool in Evercreech.

The new pool launched on 1st September and provides classes for various age groups, from baby and pre-school to Swim Academy.

Puddle Ducks aims to attract families from all over the community to take a splash and experience their unique swimming lessons. Experienced teachers Diana and Sarah will be on hand throughout the morning to answer questions, and swimmers of all abilities are welcome.

Owner of Puddle Ducks Bristol and Bath, Sarah Austin, said, "Our latest pool in Shepton Mallet is a fantastic purpose-built, family-friendly pool heated to 32 degrees. It provides the perfect setting for our open day and an introduction to swimming with Puddle Ducks. The pool also offers stress-free changing facilities, which our families always appreciate, and is conveniently located just off the A371, south of Shepton Mallet."

She added, "We hope the open day will offer an insight into how beneficial swimming can be. Children love being in the water, but we teach them to do it safely and with lots of fun. Parents love it too."

Booking for the event is mandatory. To secure your child's free taster session, visit the Puddle Ducks website specific to the Bristol and Bath area: Puddle Ducks Bristol and Bath Taster Day. For more information, call 0117 971 7165 or visit Puddle Ducks Bristol and Bath.
