Details of nine homes being built in Shepton Mallet are approved

Mendip planners have approved the appearance, landscaping, layout and scale of nine homes that are going to be built in Shepton Mallet.

A planning application for approval of reserved matters following outline approval 2018/1476/OTS for the erection of nine dwellings and associated access at Shireways, Cannard's Grave Road, Shepton Mallet, was submitted by Mr Mackenzie, and the thumbs up have now been given by Mendip District Council.

Planning applications received this week for the Shepton Mallet area include:

Retrospective permission for the retention of a Travellers' Static Caravan for a period of three years at Roemead Farm, Roemead Road, Binegar, has been applied for by Mr Gerald Esain.

Use of land to station holiday lodge and installation of sewage treatment plant at Edmunds Shipperidge, Stock Hill, Coleford, is wanted by Mr Nicholas Bullus.

Change of use to dog grooming salon at The Willows, Roemead Road, Binegar, has been applied for by Mrs Gwendoline Salvidge.

Creation of new driveway at Longacre, Tanyard Lane, North Wootton, is wanted by Mr Martin Lambden.

Mr and Mrs Lindley have applied for a single storey rear extension and two-storey side extension at 17 Linkmead, Fosse Way, Stratton-on-the-Fosse.

Prior Approval for change of use of part of an agricultural building to a dwellinghouse (Use Class C3) at Hornblotton Farm, Mill House To Fosse Way, Hornblotton, is wanted by Ms Faye Litherland.

An application to allow full and unrestricted use of existing vehicular access to holiday lodges from Hollybush Lane, currently restricted under planning condition 7 of approval 2013/0964 to maintenance and pedestrian traffic only at Hollybush Cottage, Knapp Hill, Leigh-on-Mendip, has been made by Mr Karl Tucker.

Erection of an agricultural building and variation (retrospective) to siting of building approved under prior notification, (2018/0555/AGB) on land at Thrupe Lane, Croscombe, has been applied for by Mr S Cowling.

Mr C Longstaff has applied for refurbishment and alterations to outbuilding at 17 Great Ostry, Shepton Mallet.

Erection of a rear two storey extension at Shell Cottage, The Street, Chilcompton, is wanted by Mr Anthony Barnes.

Planning applications decided this week in the Shepton Mallet area include:

Proposed erection of a residential dwelling and demolition of existing barn at Maesdown Farm, Maesdown Hill, Evercreech, by Mr P Wiltshire has been withdrawn.

Erection of an agricultural worker's dwelling at Woodside Farm, Bath Road, Oakhill, by Mr M Webber has been approved.

Proposed two-bay extension to existing livestock building and erection of standalone building for the storage of feed and concentrates at Springwater Farm, Anchor Road, Coleford, by Mr Aaron Foot has been approved.

Proposed erection of single storey side extension at Barnfield House, Abbey Road, Chilcompton, by Mrs Lana Bowker has been approved.

Demolition of porch and garage, and erection of two storey side and single storey front extension at 2 Coronation Close, Wanstrow, by Miss Lucy Brown has been approved.

Erection of a 42-inch LCD media screen and two 1,250mm x 700mm flag pole signs, overall 2,450mm in height at 2B Townsend Shopping Park, Townsend, Shepton Mallet, by Mr Andy Horwood has been approved.

Proposed single storey side extension at New Rock Industrial Estate, Unit 1 New Rock Road, Chilcompton, by K Robbins has been approved.
