Collett Park Day is getting ready to bring food, music and community celebrations back to Shepton Mallet next month.

The annual event will take place in Collett Park on Saturday, 13 June.

Organisers say the one-day festival will showcase local charities, arts organisations and community groups alongside live entertainment and food traders.

This year's food and drink line-up has now been revealed.

Visitors can expect a mix of street food, coffee, cakes, pizza, Caribbean food, Thai dishes, desserts and drinks throughout the day.

Traders due to attend include Mosaic Bar, Hidden Pizza, The Donut Factory, Bubbles 'n Shakes, Mrs B's Bakes & Cakes, Denela's Bakery, Olly's Lollys, Jamrock Caribbean Catering, Pop's Thai Kitchen, Cream & Crumble, Smokehouse on the Hill, Into Coffee, How We Roll, Sean the Chef, Squeeze & Go and Collett Park Café.

Live music and performances will take place on the park bandstand, alongside community stalls and family activities.

Shepton Mallet Town Council is also still looking for performers and community groups to take part.

Dancers, circus acts, walkabout performers and entertainers are all being encouraged to get involved.

The council previously described the event as a chance for people to "step into the spotlight".
