Christmas Collective at 10 Market Place brings holiday cheer to Shepton Mallet

Shepton Mallet — The Christmas Collective at 10 Market Place will be celebrating local talent and holiday spirit with a six-week festive pop-up. Opening on Saturday, 16 November, the shop will feature a rotation of 16 local traders showcasing over 100 handcrafted and locally-made products, perfect for Christmas shopping.

The collective brings together an array of artisans from around Shepton Mallet, including:

  • At No. Nineteen
  • Belinda Blackwell
  • Boyce Da Potter
  • Emma Chapman Pottery
  • English Pink
  • Floral Acre
  • Gilbert & Swayne
  • Glenny Thomas
  • Heloise Petitpois
  • Herbs on The Hill
  • Jo Lucksted
  • Jo Moody
  • Katrilee
  • Tali Gems
  • Tiffany Williams
  • Willow and Hawthorn

Running until 21 December, the shop will offer everything from festive decorations and handcrafted cards to artisanal chocolates and stocking fillers. Each week, different traders will be present, giving shoppers the chance to explore a fresh selection of unique products.

The Christmas Collective launch will take place on Friday, 15 November, from 4pm to 8pm, with a donation of mulled cider from Showerings Cider Mill and three Christmas trees from Ryan's Christmas Trees adding to the festive atmosphere.

Speaking about the event, Charlie Bolderow, Head of Operations at Interim Spaces, said, "This exciting festive retail pop-up is your first-stop for buying locally made Christmas cards, home decor, candles, tree ornaments, stocking fillers, chocolates, and lots more. More than 60% of our traders are from less than five miles from our shop, which is testament to the range of creative producers and businesses we have here in Shepton Mallet."

Local artist and trader Heloise Motte added, "I am very excited to take part in this great opportunity for us local makers to sell our creations under one roof. The shop is looking so pretty already, and the products are beautiful. I love shopping all things local; the community spirit of Shepton Mallet is so visible through this collaborative pop-up project!"

The Christmas Collective is the latest project by the team at 10 Market Place, following the success of The Little Farm Shed retail incubator, which recently expanded into its own dedicated shop at No. 9 Market Place. Operated by the charity Interim Spaces, the pop-up provides an opportunity to support local makers and experience a festive, community-focused shopping experience.

The Christmas Collective will be open Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 5pm, from 16 November to 21 December.
