Shepton Mallet's Charlton House Hotel & Spa is ushering in its new era under Singapore-based real estate development company, Kop Limited, with an extravagant Somerset Showcase event.

The hotel, which was previously owned by Duncan Bannatyne, was sold at the end of February, marking the beginning of a fresh chapter in its storied history.

To celebrate the transition and welcome locals and visitors alike, the hotel is hosting a unique Somerset Showcase this weekend, July 8th and 9th.

The event, running from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on both days, is intended to showcase Somerset's abundant creative talents and the hotel's capabilities under new ownership.

Blending elements of a wedding showcase, an events fair, and a launch party, the Somerset Showcase invites attendees on a "fantastical journey through the weird, the wonderful, and the profoundly mesmerising".

Guests will have the opportunity to explore curated displays, sample innovative dishes from the hotel's restaurant, and immerse themselves in a range of multi-sensory experiences.

The event also serves as an excellent opportunity for locals and visitors to explore the grandeur of the Charlton House Hotel & Spa. The 17th-century country house conversion is set in four acres of landscaped gardens and grounds and boasts 28 bedrooms, a Moroccan-themed spa, a hydrotherapy pool, various saunas and treatment rooms, and a full-service gym. It also features Maxine's, a 2AA Rosette Restaurant and Bar, a lounge and bar, and an Orangery that hosts indoor and outdoor events.

The Somerset Showcase is priced at £10 for adults, with children admitted free of charge. Notably, the cost of the ticket can be redeemed against any food and drinks purchased at the event, encouraging guests to indulge in the gastronomic delights on offer.

The purchase of Charlton House Hotel & Spa is a significant addition to Kop Limited's portfolio, which includes luxury properties in Indonesia, Shanghai, Singapore, and previously in London.

This event serves as both a celebration of their latest acquisition and a warm introduction to the local Somerset community.
