In 2024, we were excited to be awarded a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant of over £7000, in order to create a website to record and preserve our archive of material on the heritage of Pilton, and to encourage new contributions of documents, pictures and people's memories.

We are now going to opening our fascinating archives for the first time in very many years, for everyone to come and see!

We will have two rooms in Pilton Village Hall filled with loads of photos, documents, maps and 'finds' on display, the website to explore, and a rolling picture show.

There is also the opportunity to bring along photos and documents related to the parish of Pilton, to Pilton families and residents past and present, including items from the last twenty years, for us to scan for you, and so we can add them to our archive and website.

This promises to be a great opportunity for anyone with links to Pilton to find out more about our heritage, and to see what we have gathered in our large archive of over a thousand documents and many more pictures, since the Pilton Village History Group was formed in the early 1980s.

If you can't make it, then have a browse on our new website and see what you can discover! www.piltonhistory.org.uk Please add any comments about items you find on there as well...

NOTE: Parking is bit limited at Pilton Parish Hall, so please share transport if you can.
