Three great events, one amazing week at the Art Bank

🗞️ Live Music, Disco and a Charity Cabaret: A Big Week at Shepton's Art Bank
This week, The Art Bank in Shepton Mallet hosts four exciting events showcasing local talent, creativity, and community – all while raising awareness for important causes and celebrating live arts.
Thursday 25 April: Art Bank Introducing presents TOR and Ruby Darbyshire
A free gig introducing fiery Celtic band TOR and BBC Radio 6 Music-featured singer-songwriter Ruby Darbyshire. Expect duelling uilleann pipes, fiddles, and original arrangements – all rooted in folk tradition with a modern spark.
Friday 26 April: DJ Matt Ettle returns to the decks
Shepton's favourite DJ, Matt Ettle spins everything from disco classics to unexpected dancefloor bangers – an open-format DJ set that guarantees a good time. Tickets just £5 each or £8 for two.
Saturday 27 April: LIFECRAFT – A Charity Cabaret Fundraiser
Co-hosted by SWEDA and The Art Bank, this evening blends crochet and craft with spoken word and live music. Gavin Osborn & The Comment Section and Jess Chivers headline, with poetic performances from INKlings artists. Funds raised will support SWEDA's work around eating disorders and The Art Bank's continued mission as a not-for-profit community space.
Sunday 28 April: Vinyl Vibes at the Shepton Sunday Market (10am–3pm)
Ease into your Sunday with laid-back vinyl grooves from the Art Bank DJ Collective. As Shepton's monthly market brings the high street to life, the Art Bank offers a perfect pit-stop – grab a drink, enjoy a sit-down, and soak up the sounds while browsing the market.
A quick word if you're still here ... The Art Bank recently missed out on a crucial grant and needs local support more than ever. Every ticket purchased and drink enjoyed helps keep this vibrant, creative hub open and thriving. Please help support us in any way you can so we can keep our doors open and keep on supporting Shepton.
