Shepton Mallet AFC's FA Cup tie took an unusual turn on Saturday.

In what might be an FA Cup first, the opposition goalkeeper was sent off for urinating in a hedge.

The incident occurred in the 76th minute of their 0-0 draw with Hampshire side Blackfield and Langley FC in Saturday's FA Cup first qualifying round tie. The Hampshire side play in the ninth-tier Wessex League while Shepton play in the Toolstataion Western Premier League.

At the time, a post on Shepton's Twitter account said: "Blackfield keeper is sent off for urinating in the hedge! Never seen it before."

The unusual incident has put the teams into the spotlight, with coverage from national news teams, including BBC News and Talk Sport.

The replay will be taking place tomorrow (Tuesday, September 6) with a 7.30pm KO, and Shepton are hoping a portable toilet company will come forward to sponsor the match, while Blackfield have promised to take plenty of toilet breaks en route!
