Yellow warning for ice issued across Somerset

By Laura Linham 9th Jan 2025

A yellow weather warning for ice has been issued across Somerset, with conditions expected to cause disruption on Friday morning, 10 January.

The warning is in place from 3am until 11am, with patchy rain and hill snow predicted to create icy conditions across the region.

The Met Office has cautioned that the icy surfaces could lead to injuries from slips and falls, with untreated roads, pavements, and cycle paths likely to be particularly hazardous.

Residents are advised to take extra care when travelling and allow additional time for their journeys.
