From wassails to roller discos, plenty is happening in Shepton Mallet this weekend to take your mind off the dreary weather we've had this week.

Here's just a few of the events that caught our eye this week.

Pilton Wassail - Tithe Barn, Pilton

Wassailing is the pagan fertility rites carried out on Fruit Trees to awake them and has been celebrated in England since the 1400's. Soaked in cider, toast, loud noise (and frequently, rain) it's a traditional part of the Somerset calendar not to be missed.

The Pilton event takes place on Saturday at the Tithe Barn from 3pm.
