Recent developments have emerged regarding the proposed housing scheme on the Midsomerset Show field, with CG Fry and Son Ltd submitting revised plans to the local planning authority.

The initial proposal, outlined in 2018, aimed to introduce a significant residential development to the area.

The key changes proposed include a redesigned southern entrance to improve the initial access point into the development, alongside the relocation of a care home facility, which now proposes an increased number of bed spaces. Additionally, there is a new layout for the local centre, positioned with residential zones behind it, aiming to create a vibrant community hub.
