Co-op invites community groups and projects to apply for Local Community Fund
Do you work with a not-for-profit project that benefits the people in your community? The Co-op wants to help.
Every year the Co-op works with local groups and charities, helping support their work to make communities fairer for everyone, through the Co-op Local Community Fund.
Now, they are looking for groups to apply to become a Co-op Local Cause, and any organisation selected will receive funding. Local organisations that have benefitted in the past include Marie Curie Somerset, Wessex Eating Disorders Association and Horrington Cricket Club, who all received payouts from the Community Fund to help support their work. You can read more about it here.
All applications must be received by June 12. To apply for funding click here.
If you would like to be a part Co-op's mission to support local causes you can become a Co-op Member.
When Co-op Members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p for every pound spent goes into their Co-op Membership account and the Co-op gives the same to support community organisations and local causes. Co-op Membership helps support Co-op's national charity partners and Local Community Fund causes.
Co-op Members will continue to help thousands of grassroots community projects through the Local Community Fund by selecting a cause to support. Since 2016 Co-op Members have raised more than £85m for over 30,000 projects.
It costs just £1 to become a Co-op Member, and not only will you be helping your local community every time you shop, but you will also be treated to exclusive member offers and discounts. See www.coop.co.uk/membership for more details.
