A second national lockdown is upon us, but businesses in the Shepton Mallet area are still providing a whole host of services for local customers.

Bumblez

We are offering free local contactless deliveries, minimal charges for delivery to Wells, Street, Glastonbury and so on (£2 on orders over £20) and also click and collect will be available.

You can message us via WhatsApp on 07388 574245. We are also very happy to send photos of products or help find things to suit and can FaceTime while in the shop to help customers pick things.

We can gift box and are also offering a gift wrap service for a small charge. Our stock is constantly changing and we are also happy to try and hunt down and secure products requested for.

In short - we are doing absolutely all we can to still be on the High Street moving forward.

Focalflames Fireplaces

Luckily we are being classed as essential maintenance to help with people's heating and safety over the winter months so can still work in clients' homes.

Our showroom, however, will close for the time being and we will do home visits and surveys instead, bringing the showroom and our knowledge to them while adhering to strict Covid guidelines and social distancing.

We can still service flues and stoves, and install them over the lockdown period but would just ask clients to leave us to it.

Street Mortgage Solutions

I'm still open for business, and will still be available during the new lockdown, working from home and can do video meetings with clients.

Alce Harfield

I'm a professional artist of 30 years, living and working in Dean and I specialise in painting the Glastonbury Festival.

I have paintings, prints, mugs, cushions and calendars all on my website, and I can deliver locally.

We are working with local food producers to create alcohol-free hampers, a few are online now with more being added.

Shepton Thai Boxing Club

We remain open for business, and all tuition is based on a one to one basis as per government guidance.

The training area is roofed but open on all four sides and constitutes "outside". Full track and trace is in place, as is complete rotation of used equipment sterilised by hot wash and surface cleaners.

We are also undertaking temperature tests before any access to the training area is allowed and a record is being made of that.

Right Price DIY

Right Price DIY are planning to stay open at the moment, but if things should get worse with Covid then we may decide to trade behind closed doors, so email and phone orders only.

Shepton Brasserie

We will be opening for takeaways and free delivery in Shepton Mallet.

Our opening hours will be Friday and Saturday noon to 8pm and on Sundays noon to 4pm.

Windsor Hill Mortgages

We are staying open and operating as close to normal as possible. We will be providing mortgage and insurance advice and support over the phone and via email to help people buy, re-mortgage and protect a property.

We are providing fee free advice currently. This is particularly helpful if you are trying to keep your costs down, without compromising on the quality.

It is particularly nice for us to be able to support the local community through such an important process.
