If you cannot wait to start travelling again, one Somerset company is back on the road with buses direct from Shepton Mallet to London.

They leave from Shepton at 9.10 at the stop opposite the police station.

The Somerset travel company has today (April 12) re launched their London Superfast Service.

The Superfast Service returns with coaches serving all stops daily, from Tiverton to Wincanton, Bridgwater to Amesbury and many stops including Wells and Frome Mallet in between.

The company has been awarded the "Good to Go" certificate from Visit England, which recognises the processes they put in place to ensure they are coronavirus safe.

A company spokesperson said: " Safety is paramount for both are customers and team members, so we have put in place Covid Secure Measurements which includes; compulsory face coverings* (unless you are exempt) , hand sanitisers on board every vehicle, temperature screening prior to boarding vehicle, enhanced cleaning regime utilising aerosol-based disinfectant fogging equipment and retrofitted air conditioning and filters, creating a healthier environment onboard the coach. "
