Shepton Mallet Prison is set to offer brave visitors a chilling new experience with its Ghost Hunting Behind Bars events, starting in February 2025. Known as 'The World's Most Haunted Prison,' the historic site is inviting the curious and the courageous to spend a night exploring its shadowy corridors and haunted rooms.
The event promises an evening packed with paranormal investigations, historical intrigue, and the tantalising possibility of supernatural encounters. Led by an experienced paranormal team, participants will explore some of the prison's most notorious and supposedly haunted areas, including The Gate Lodge, B-Wing, A-Wing, and the chilling Execution Room.
Visitors will be armed with specialised ghost-hunting equipment to detect and communicate with spirits. From EMF readers and crystal pendulums to the classic spirit board, guests will experiment with various investigative techniques as they search for signs of paranormal activity.
