Shepton Sue Ryder Shop go rainbow mad for Pride Month !

By Guest   6th Jun 2023

Staff and customers of Sue Ryder charity shop in Shepton Mallet, are celebrating Pride Month with a rainbow window display.

Store manager Judith Newton-Shorrocks enjoyed collecting as many colourful items as possible, and the staff had fun too. But its not just about brightly colourful clothes and flags. The charity is deeply commited to inclusivity, and has launched a nationwide 'Pride Badge' scheme for staff.

"Sue Ryder employees & volunteers are now able to assure thier loved ones, customers & volunteers/colleagues are in a safe, open & inclusive environment, advocating for the needs of LGBTQ+ people & help break down the barriers LGBTQ+ people face. We can also signpost people for more information on LGBTQ+ identities."

Please look out for staff wearing the rainbow badge.

Members of Shepton Mallet Camera & Photography Club, used the colorful fashion show to practice taking pics. This one is by Neil Wolstenholme.
