Residents in Shepton Mallet are being invited to meet their local councillors and raise questions at the town's annual meeting later this month.

The event will take place on Monday, 21 April at 7 pm at Art Bank, offering a chance for the public to discuss concerns, ideas and upcoming council projects directly with elected members.

Organisers say the meeting is open to anyone interested in how the town is run or keen to have their say on local issues. Topics expected to be raised include community improvements, council tax and future developments.

The town council is encouraging residents to attend and "be part of the conversation" about Shepton Mallet's future.

The annual town meeting is a public forum rather than a formal council meeting, giving residents the opportunity to speak openly and ask questions in person.

People attending will be able to put forward ideas, highlight concerns and hear more about current and planned initiatives affecting the town.
