Shepton Mallet Town Council has announced plans to improve the amenities at Collett Park - and they're looking for your input.

The plan includes creating a new gateway to the park and marking the start of the Strawberry Line at the end of Park Road.

The project will focus on several key areas to enhance the facilities at Collett Park:

  • Entrance improvement: Upgrading the entrance to the park from the town to create a more welcoming and accessible entry point.
  • Café enhancements: Revamping the café to include both indoor and outdoor seating, providing a comfortable and enjoyable space for visitors.
  • Toilet facilities: Improving the standard and accessibility of the toilets to ensure they meet the needs of all park users.
  • Landscaping: Enhancing the landscape surroundings of the café to create a pleasant and inviting environment.
  • Community involvement: Creating opportunities for community groups to be involved in the park, fostering a sense of ownership and participation.

The Town Council is keen to ensure that the new facilities meet the needs of the people who use the park.

They are inviting residents to take a moment to provide their feedback through a short survey. Your input is valuable and will help shape the future of Collett Park.

Please take 2 minutes to fill in the survey here: https://sheptonmallet-tc.gov.uk/collettparkgateway/
