Shepton Mallet roadworks for week commencing September 7

Temporary traffic lights are planned on the A37 in Shepton Mallet for roadworks next week.

The multi-way lights are scheduled to be in place at the junction of the A37 Kilver Street and Town Lane from Monday (September 7) to Wednesday (September 9).

The lights are due to be used to enable Wessex Water to carry out its annual public sewer cleaning at the site.

Other roadworks scheduled to take place in Shepton Mallet next week include:

Back Lane is Darshill is set to be closed from Monday to Wednesday, to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer repair works.

Temporary traffic lights are due to be used on the A371 Wells Road from 8am on Monday to 5pm on Friday (September 11) to enable Somerset Highways to desilt a culvert.

From Thursday (September 10) to Saturday (September 12), temporary traffic lights are scheduled to be used on the A361 Charlton Road so Wessex Water can clean a sewer.

Multi-way temporary traffic lights at the junction of Whitstone Road and Whitstone Rise, in use while Wales and West Utilities upgrade a gas main, are scheduled to remain in place until September 14.

From Thursday to September 14, Somerset Highways are due to be replacing a streetlight in Meadow Rise.

Finally, the permit for scaffolding outside of 8 Paul Street is set to expire on Friday.
