Shepton Mallet roadworks for week commencing October 7

There will be temporary traffic lights on the A361 at the bottom of Doulting Hill, near Shepton Mallet, this week for work to replace the chevrons.

The multi-way traffic lights will be in place from Monday October 7 until Wednesday October 9, and will allow Somerset County Council to undertake the works on the verge.

Other roadworks in Shepton Mallet this week include:

Back Lane in Darshill will be closed from Monday to Wednesday to enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out new gas service connection works. It will be closed from the junction with Ham Lane East and Ham Lane, south-westwards for 115 metres.

From Tuesday October 8 to Tuesday October 15, Western Power Distribution will be installing a new supply on the A37 Kilver Street by the junction with Kidds Lane.

From Thursday October 10 to Wednesday October 23, Western Power Distribution will be carrying out substation upgrade works in Board Cross and Eastfield.

On Monday, the Bristol Water work to add a new connection in Peter Street will be finished, and by Thursday the scaffolding in Garston Street should be coming down.
