Eastfield in Shepton Mallet will be closed on Thursday October 17 so Western Power Distribution can carry out substation replacement works.

It will be closed from 8am to 4.30pm, from the junction with Westfield to the junction with Cornwall Road.

Other roadworks in Shepton Mallet this week include:

Temporary traffic lights will be in place at the Commercial Road Roundabout by the old police station from Monday October 14. These multi-way lights will be in place until November 22 and are to enable resurfacing of the roundabout, new road markings to be put in, drainage and lighting works.

Back Lane in Darshill is due to re-open on Monday following the work to lay a new service by Wales and West Utilities.

On Tuesday October 15, Western Power Distribution's work on the A37 at Kilver Street is due to be completed, as is Bristol Water's work to stop a leak in Wickham Way and Shaftgate Avenue.
