Shepton Mallet roadworks for week commencing June 8

There are scheduled to be temporary traffic lights at the bottom of Waterloo Road in Shepton Mallet this week.

The multi-way lights are due to be in place at the junction of Waterloo Road/Rectory Road and The Batch from Monday (June 8) to Wednesday (June 10).

They are being used to enable BT to install a 22-metre duct across the road and pavement.

Other roadworks in Shepton Mallet this week include:

The temporary traffic lights in Fosse Lane for Wales and West Utilities work to repair a gas leak, are scheduled to be in place until Tuesday (June 9).

A permit for scaffolding at 43 Hobbs Road is scheduled to be in place on Monday and Tuesday.

Work by Wales and West Utilities to lay a new service in Leg Square is scheduled to be completed by the end of Monday.

Also finishing by the end of Monday should be the Bristol Water work to repair a leak in Whitstone Rise.

Finally, Western Power Distribution's emergency work to repair a street light cable fault in Town Street should be finished on Tuesday.
