Shepton Mallet roadworks for week commencing January 27

There will be temporary traffic lights at the roundabout where Westfield meets the B3136 in Shepton Mallet this week.

The multi-way lights will be in place from 9.30am to 3.30pm from Monday January 27 until February 12, and they will be manually controlled.

They will be in place for works including replacing the carriageway surface, resetting gully covers, replacing a roundabout sign, removing a manhole cover and renewing the anti-skid surface.

Other roadworks in Shepton Mallet this week include:

The temporary traffic lights on the A371 Cannard's Grave Road for Bristol Water to install a main are scheduled to be in place until February 17.

On Tuesday January 28, Bristol Water will be repairing a burst main in Finch Close, and from that day until Thursday January 30, the company will be repairing a leak in Church Lane.

From Wednesday January 29 to Friday January 31, a streetlight will be straightened in Station Road, and Bristol Water will be repairing a leak in Beech Avenue.

Western Power Distribution's work to repair a streetlight cable fault in St Peter's Road should be completed by the end of Monday.

Monday also sees the end of the permit for scaffolding outside of the kebab house in the High Street.

Finally, Bristol Water's work to install a talbot box and meter in Somerset Close is scheduled to be finished by the end of Tuesday.
