Shepton Mallet residents are being encouraged to share their views on next year's council budget before they see a rise in their council tax bill. The Town Council is preparing its financial plans for 2025-2026 and wants community input as early as possible.

The budget meeting will be held on Monday, October 15 at 7pm in Shepton Mallet Library, giving locals a chance to see how much will be needed to fund services and projects next year. The Town Clerk and councillors will present the draft budget and will be available to answer any questions or concerns residents may have.

Feedback from the meeting will be taken into account before the final budget is set. There will also be presentations from community groups who have benefited from council grants, showcasing how these funds have supported local initiatives.

To get involved and have your say, head down to Shepton Library at 7pm on October 15. Don't miss your chance to shape Shepton's future! More details can be found on the event page here.
