Harriet Sandys from West Compton, has recently returned from a humanitarian mission to Ukraine, where she and 14 other volunteers delivered seven ambulances.

The convoy, which included two Land Rover Defender ambulances, began its journey from London on May 19, travelling through several European countries to reach Lviv on May 22.

Harriet said: "I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you who supported me in raising funds for the ambulance. I wish you could have seen the look of gratitude on the faces of the doctors when we handed over the ambulances to them in Lviv.

"I feel so privileged to have been able to participate and to share the journey with 14 other exceptional and very special people to bring aid to Ukraine. It was an extraordinary experience and one I shall never forget."

The ambulances were promptly put to use near the frontline, aiding in life-saving efforts. Harriet plans to continue her support through fundraising for Medical Life Lines Ukraine to provide more ambulances and essential supplies for the front lines.
