Everyone loves a good grumble about roadworks – and Somerset has had its fair share to deal with over the past 12 months.
With the tail end of the Junction 25 upgrade, the start of the Creech Castle improvements in Taunton, and the early stages of the long-awaited upgrade of the A303, there's been plenty of scope for muttering about delays while stuck waiting at lights or crawling through contraflows.
With plenty of schemes big and small already pencilled in for 2022, Somerset shows no signs of getting a break from cones and people in high-viz jackets any time soon.
Here's a rundown of every major roadworks scheme (those which involve significant closures and diversions) due to take place in Somerset in 2022.
Please note: all the information below is sourced from the Travel Somerset website as of Tuesday, December 21, 2021. It is not intended as an exhaustive list of all planned roadworks across the county, and details of all schemes, including dates and diversionary routes, are subject to change.
