Shepton Mallet Lido will open its gates early next week to help swimmers get ready for the summer season.

On Thursday 1 May, the team will be on site from 12.30pm to 6.30pm to assist with membership set-ups, bookings and any account queries ahead of the pool's official opening.

A designated receptionist will be available throughout the afternoon to help visitors in person. Those unable to attend can also call during the same hours for assistance.

A spokesperson for the Lido said: "We will have a designated receptionist on site ready to assist you with all queries and membership set-ups. Feel free to give us a call during this time too.

The early opening comes as excitement builds locally for the Lido's summer season, which has been a popular fixture in Shepton Mallet for generations.
