There was a fire in Coleford yesterday afternoon

Firefighters from Shepton Mallet helped tackle a chimney fire in Coleford yesterday afternoon (December 9).

Just after 4pm, a fire engine from Frome was sent to a report of a chimney fire within a domestic property in Coleford.

On arrival crews confirmed a blockage within the chimney breast, and requested a further fire engine which was sent from Shepton Mallet.

Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet. Damage was confined the the chimney breast only.
