Shuttercraft, based in Shepton Mallet, has become the first business in the area to join the new Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) Business Club.
The CHSW Business Club aims to recruit 100 businesses in 2021, each paying £300 for their membership helping the charity to raise £30,000 in what is its 30th anniversary year.
Simon Moody of Shuttercraft is urging other companies to help make a difference for local children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
He said: "I think that it's important to remember how precious the time we spend with our children really is.
"I have been blessed to be able to share and cherish amazing times of joy, sadness, laughter and hope with my own children, and want to be able to contribute a little to help other parents and children gain as much from their time together as is possible."
There are a range of benefits to joining the CHSW Business Club including building connections, raising awareness of your business and, crucially, helping make a difference to local families. £30,000 could pay for 1,500 hours of care provided by CHSW's multidisciplinary care team.
Whether it be making home visits, hosting virtual therapy sessions, or providing end-of-life care in one of its hospices, you'll be helping to make a difference to families who need CHSW now more than ever.
Since the founding of the charity in 1991, CHSW now has three children's hospices in the South West including Charlton Farm in North Somerset, which is the local hospice for families in Shepton Mallet and the surrounding area.
