Shepton Mallet businesses shine in the 2024 Innovator Awards nominations

Over 600 nominations have been cast for the 2024 Shepton Innovator Business Awards, showcasing the business community in Shepton Mallet.

With nominations spread across eight categories, the awards are a testament to the innovation and dedication of local enterprises.

This year's nominees highlight the best of Shepton Mallet's entrepreneurial spirit, from food and drink producers to new businesses, well-being services, and more.

In the Food and Drink Producer category, contenders include local favourites such as Sean the Chef, The Nestcake Caravan, Eco Food Creations, and the renowned Stones Cider and Brothers Cider. New businesses that have made a mark since opening after September 2020, like The Little Farm Shed and HappyHappy Mojos, are also vying for recognition.

The Wellbeing, Sports, and Leisure category features nominees such as Phil Good Rehabilitation and The Energise Wellbeing Studio, reflecting the community's focus on health and fitness. Retail businesses like Brown & Daughters Fruit and Veg and Grand Tor Cycling are up for awards, showcasing the variety and quality of local shopping experiences.

Community groups, including The Good Life Projects and Shepton Mallet Community Fridge, have been nominated for their significant contributions to the town's social fabric. Professional services are also recognised, with businesses like Thrive Group and D E Floors Ltd making the list.

The Hospitality category highlights the best in local dining and accommodation, including The Hive and Montigo Resorts Somerset at Charlton House. The Arts, Culture, and Heritage category celebrates the creative life of Shepton Mallet, with nominations for The Art Bank and Tall Tails Theatre Company.

The judges are currently reviewing the impressive list of nominees, with winners set to be announced on 14 March.
