Shepton Mallet area roadworks for week commencing October 26

Two sets of temporary traffic lights are planned on main roads in Shepton Mallet this week.

On Friday (October 30) there are due to be the lights on the A371 in Darshill and on the A361 Charlton Road near to the leisure centre.

Both sets are scheduled to be used to enable BT to replace telegraph poles.

Other roadworks planned in the Shepton Mallet area this week include:

From Monday (October 26) to Friday, Frithfield Lane and Gaol Lane, Shepton Mallet, are scheduled to be closed to traffic to enable resurfacing preparation works to take place.

From Monday to November 6, Somerset Highways are set to be renewing the pavements in Beech Avenue, Shepton Mallet.

Somerset Highways are also due to be undertaking kerbing and patching works in Bowlish Lane, Shepton Mallet, from Thursday (October 29) to November 2.

Finally, a month-long scaffolding permit is scheduled to begin on Monday at 16 Lime Grove in Shepton Mallet.
