A retrospective application for the change of use to a nail bar at 36 High Street, Shepton Mallet, by Mrs Hai Thi Dang has been withdrawn.

Planning applications received this week include:

An application for prior notification of agricultural development for a proposed building on land at Cockmill Lane, East Pennard, has been made by Mr Ty Cook.

An application for approval of details reserved by condition 5 (joinery details) on listed building consent 2018/3070/LBC, refurbishment and extension of existing dwelling, including new vehicle access at Riverdale, East Town Lane, Pilton, has been made by Mr and Mrs Humphrey. They have also made an application for approval of details reserved by conditions 3 (bound/compacted vehicle access), 4 (hard landscaping), 5 (sample panel - roofing), 6 (sample panel - walling), 7 (joinery details) and 8 (ducts, pipes and rainwater goods) on planning consent/listed building consent 2018/3069/HSE at the same address.

An application to replace roof slates with slates of matching size, colour, thickness and texture to originals at Sherston Lodge, The Cedars, Evercreech, has been made by Mr Richard Fegen.

An application for a non-material amendment to permission 2019/0879/FUL, amendment to south elevation to remove grilles and replace with extract fan flues at Shepton Mallet Motors, Townsend, Shepton Mallet, has been made by Avon and Somerset Constabulary.

Applications decided this week include:

Change of use of land from agricultural to three Traveller pitches and associated works including hardstanding (Resubmission of 2018/2219/FUL) at Knowle Ground, Ridge Road, West Compton, by Miss E Wolliams has been approved.

Proposed works to trees with a Tree Preservation Order M1098: T1 Ash - reduce lower limbs overhanging garden x 3metres, remove deadwood. T2 - Ash - Reduce limbs touching house x 4 metres at 52 Beech Avenue, Shepton Mallet, by Mrs Fiona Emery have been approved.

An application for approval of details reserved by conditions 4 (construction attachment details) on Planning Permission 2019/0662/HSE at South View, Church Street, Croscombe, by Mr and Mrs Watson has been approved. As has their application at the same address for approval of details reserved by conditions 4 (construction attachment details) on Listed Building Consent 2019/0663/LBC.

An application for a non-material amendment to permission 2018/2744/REM and 2015/0527/OTA 1 South aspect - doors replace window, 2 East aspect - windows replace doors, 3 South aspect - single window in gable end, previously double on land south of Stocks Lane, North Wootton, by Mr and Mrs P Gordon has been approved.

Proposed erection of a replacement boundary wall at Piers Cottage, Piers Road, Cranmore, by Mr Matthew Ellis has been approved.

Construction of 400mm spiral duct flue associated with internal spray booth, flue will project 990mm above roof at Units 3A To 3B, Mendip Avenue, Shepton Mallet, by Mr C Jarrett has been approved.

Proposed erection of a two storey rear extension at 17 Bishop Crescent, Shepton Mallet, by Mr Ashley Willott has been approved.

Conversion and change of use of redundant agricultural buildings into a dwelling house, and change of use of agricultural field as extension of proposed domestic curtilage on plot adjacent to The Second Barn, Prestleigh Lane, Prestleigh, by Ms M Underwood has been approved.

Proposed single storey rear extension and conversion of garage at Nelson Cottage, Pound Lane, Oakhill, by Mr Timothy Hole has been approved. As has his proposed single storey rear extension and conversion of garage at the same address.

An application for a proposed lawful development certificate for a single storey side extension to the side/west elevation at 38 Southfield Road, Shepton Mallet, by Mr and Mrs Bale has been approved.
