Adventurers Dean Charles and Oliver Hiscocks are gearing up for another epic journey in the Rust2Rome Car Rally, aiming to surpass their last year's achievement by raising £1000 for charity.

The Shepton Mallet pair, who previously navigated a £1000 banger from their hometown to Rome, are taking on the challenge once again, this time plotting a course through France and Italy, including the breathtaking French Alps.

Their adventure last year, which led them through Switzerland and the Swiss Alps in a convoy of 30 vehicles over 10 days, not only tested their mettle but also raised over £800 for charity. This year, Charles and Hiscocks have chosen Swallow and Wessex 4x4 Response as their beneficiaries. Swallow is a charity dedicated to supporting teenagers and adults with learning disabilities to live independently and enjoy life more fully, while Wessex 4×4 Response provides vital emergency logistics to organisations across the Avon & Somerset, Dorset, and Wiltshire & Swindon areas.

The duo's journey, scheduled for 7th July to 16th July, promises more miles, memories, and funds raised for these crucial services.

They are calling on local businesses for support, offering advertising space on their vehicle, and urging the public to contribute to their JustGiving crowdfunding campaign.
