Shepton Mallet Football Club is offering supporters the chance to put their name on a seat at its ground for £25. The fundraising appeal is open to families, businesses, former players and anyone wanting to support the club.

Each sponsored seat will display an individual, family or business name. The club says donations will help improve and maintain its facilities, support players and provide a place for future generations to enjoy football.

Sponsors will also be entered into a prize draw for each seat they sponsor. Prizes include hospitality for up to four people, a season ticket and club merchandise.

The appeal reaches beyond those who regularly watch matches. The club is inviting local businesses, friends and families to take part alongside lifelong supporters and former players.

"Your sponsorship will help us to continue to improve our facilities, support our players and create an environment where future generations can enjoy football and build lifelong memories," the club said.

It added: "Every seat sponsored brings us one step closer to our goals."

Anyone wanting to sponsor a seat or find out more can contact Graham Freestone on 07960 411 810. Enquiries can also be sent to [email protected].
