Shepton Community Bookshop is celebrating its fifth anniversary this week. Since opening its doors in June 2019, the bookshop has become a beloved part of the Shepton Mallet community, selling donated books and being entirely run by dedicated volunteers.

The bookshop has made a significant impact on the local area, donating all profits to local good causes in and around Shepton Mallet.

Over the past five years, the shop has raised just over £32,000 supporting a variety of community initiatives and charities.

To mark this special milestone, the bookshop is inviting everyone to join in the celebrations.

Visitors to the shop, open from 10 am to 3 pm Monday to Saturday, can pick up a free book of their choice and enjoy a complimentary chocolate.

Additionally, everyone is encouraged to write a message in the shop's special book to wish the team continued success for the next fifteen years and beyond.
