Sexey's School, part of the Quantock Education Trust, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Clayson as the new Headteacher.

Steve, who brings over 27 years of experience in education, has officially begun his role at the school this term.

Steve has spent 17 years in senior leadership roles within secondary schools and a sixth form college. He is deeply passionate about the transformative power of education and is committed to ensuring all students have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Steve's leadership will build on the school's strong tradition of excellence, combining academic achievement with personal growth.

Steve Clayson, Headteacher of Sexey's School, said: "I am both honoured and excited to take on the role of Headteacher at Sexey's School. This is a wonderful school, with a talented and dedicated staff, and I am looking forward to working closely with them to ensure our students receive the best possible education. I believe that education should not only focus on academic skills, but also on moral and spiritual development, helping students grow into compassionate, responsible individuals. I'm committed to ensuring that every student has the support and encouragement they need to thrive and succeed."

Steve's appointment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the school. He is already on-site, familiarising himself with the staff and students, and is looking forward to engaging with parents, carers, and the wider community in the coming weeks to continue strengthening the school's strong ethos and values.

Chrysta Garnett, CEO of Quantock Education Trust, said: "We are delighted to welcome Steve to Sexey's School. His extensive experience and vision for education will be an asset to the school and the broader community. We are confident that under his leadership, the school will continue to provide students with a first-class education, nurturing their academic, moral, and spiritual growth."
