September Glastonbury Festival event confirmed as one-day concert as set-up works are approved

The Glastonbury Festival event being staged in Pilton in September has been confirmed as a one-day concert after planning approval was granted for the set-up and removal of the infrastructure on site.
A planning application for the approval of details reserved by conditions 5 (works of construction) on planning consent 2016/2238/VRC at Worthy Farm, Worthy Lane, Pilton, by Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd has been approved by Mendip District Council.
A two-day licence for a Glastonbury Festival event later this year was granted last month, after councillors took nearly a week to decide.
However, the build schedule approved as part of the latest application shows that Saturday September 18 will be show day with setting up the day before and dismantling of equipment the day afterwards.
The schedule shows that work will start on the Pyramid Stage on July 19, with the three-week stage build starting in earnest on August 9 and the perimeter fence work commencing on August 16.
Audio, lights, video and dressing room equipment are all scheduled to leave the site on Sunday September 19, with all infrastructure set to be removed by October 15.

Erection of single-storey rear extension, which would extend beyond the rear wall of the original house by 4.5 metres, with a maximum height of 2.8 metres and an eaves height of 2.6 metres at Stockhill House, Stock Hill, Coleford, has been applied for by Mr Z Beckwith.
Demolition of garage and erection of garden room at More House, The Street, Chilcompton, is wanted by Mr and Mrs Love.
Proposed single-storey rear extension at Woodlands Farmhouse, Brewery Lane, Shepton Mallet, has been applied for by Mr and Mr D and S Weston and Edwards.
Consultation: Temporary storage for Limestone Scalpings for SCC/3839/2021 at Pound Lane to Merehead Quarry, Downhead.
Minor alterations to enable reinstatement to one dwelling at Hazeldene House, Pylle Road, Pilton, are wanted by Mr and Mrs P Hiscox.
Conversion of barn to create a two-bedroom dwelling at Pennard Hill Farm, Cockmill Lane, East Pennard, has been applied for by Mr and Mrs Green.

Prior approval for change of use of agricultural building to five dwellinghouses (use Class C3 comprising three smaller dwellings and two larger dwellings) at Yew Tree Farm, Hembridge Road, East Pennard,by Mr N Hiscox has been given.
