The Art Bank, Make the Sunshine and the Rubbish Art Project have been working together to light up windows across Shepton Mallet, bringing Window Wanderland - a national and now international movement - to the town.
Window Wanderland, which started in Bristol, aims to turn windows into a night-time gallery. Workshops have been taking place across Shepton Mallet to create some iconic signature windows made with the local community.
Students from St Paul's Junior School have been working alongside residents at Field House Care Home.
Together with set designer Elly Wdowski they have been creating five iconic Shepton Mallet figures to appear in the Anglo Trading Estate windows.
The students and residents worked together to choose and design the figures, and have started colouring them.
The designs pick up important historical features of Shepton, its mill industries, as the birthplace of snowdrops, as well as its more recent history as the filming location for Paddington 2, which stars Madeline Harris who lived in Shepton Mallet and went to school at Whitstone. These windows will be lit thanks to sponsorship and support from Storm Productions Group.
As well as the Anglo, Tesco, the library, the Art Bank, Haskins, St Paul's Junior School, My Coffee Stop, Shepton Leisure Centre, Becky Beauty, One Craft and many others have signed up.
This is a free community event for all the family. All you need to do is to to register your windows via the red button below.
Window Wanderland takes place from March 5 to 8 and is open to everyone to take part.
