In recent weeks, there's been a worrying rise in the number of people sneaking into the derelict Greencore factory in Evercreech, with authorities reporting a spike in trespassing incidents.

The factory poses several dangers, making it unsafe for entry. These hazards include materials containing asbestos, open floor voids, and unstable structures.

The likelihood of getting trapped, combined with numerous trip hazards, presents a significant risk. Additionally, entering this site is considered trespassing, which is a legal offence.

To address this issue, systematic patrols have been implemented, including regular late-night patrols to monitor the site's boundaries.

The police are also conducting regular patrols in the neighbourhoods adjacent to the factory.

Despite this, there are still reports of youths entering the site - although police have identified some of the people and issued warnings.

A police spokesperson stated, "We urge the public to stay away from the derelict factory in Evercreech for their own safety. It's not only a dangerous environment but also illegal to enter. We are taking this matter seriously and will continue our patrols to ensure the safety of our community."
